The 'Chokes would lead the Firestorm (0-1) 24-7 at the end of the first period.

SCC's "D and three" highlighted the next two quarters of play first with a monster rejection from #5 Atlantis Jiles. Later in the quarter the Artichokes knocked down three consecutive three pointers to extend their lead at the halftime break 43-14.

The Artichokes would not relent on defense in the second half and they forced 12 ACU turnovers. Also, that quarter featured the play of the game, #2 Brooklyn Cruz drove down to the right block and scored a circus shot layup while getting fouled and converted on the and one.

Scottsdale would continue the steamroll in the fourth quarter and win their first game of the season by 33 points.
